Visa Letter Requests

Entry to South Korea

Any foreign visitors wishing to enter the Republic of Korea must have a valid passport and obtain a Korean visa before coming. But people of 103 countries who want to visit Korea temporarily are permitted to enter without a visa according to visa-exemption agreements, or in accordance with principles reciprocity or national interest.

Entry to Jeju Island

Special Entry Arrangements for the Jeju Island
  • Nationals of all countries are not allowed visa-free entry into Korea via Jeju airport for tourism or transit as these special arrangements are denied to those of the following 23 countries : Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Cameroon, Cuba, Egypt, Gambia, Ghana, Iran, Iraq, Kosovo, Kyrgyz, Myanmar, Nigeria, Nepal, Pakistan, Palestine, Senegal, Somalia, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Syria, Uzbekistan, Yemen.
  • Duration of Stay : Up to 30 days
  • Permitted area/range : Jeju Island
    • This policy applies only to Jeju, not to the mainland of Korea
    • A person transferring at Gimpo or Incheon International Airport needs to obtain a visa.
  • Conditions of entry : Those arriving directly at Jeju Island by flight or ship.
※ The visa-free policy is not applicable for passengers arriving at Jeju via Incheon and/or Gimpo Airport.

KOREA ELECTRONIC TRAVEL AUTHORIZATION (K-ETA)
  • Travelers with nationality of Visa Waiver countries are eligible to apply for K-ETA.
  • If you do not receive a K-ETA, you will not be permitted to enter the Republic of Korea, so we recommend that you apply early (Applying before 72 hours is recommended) Click Here

Regulations for Entering Jeju Island
Starting from September 1st 2022, K-ETA will be required for ALL travelers entering the Republic of Korea including Jeju Island.

Boarding Flight Traveler MUST apply for K-ETA and get K-ETA approval before boarding the flight.
Entering Korea Travelers with K-ETA are exempt from submitting the Arrival Card.
