Call for Teams: Compete in the 25th RoboRacer AUTONOMOUS Racing Competition at IV 2025!

We are thrilled to announce that the RoboRacer Autonomous Grand Prix (previously known as F1TENTH) is becoming a regular event at the IEEE Intelligent Vehicles Symposium, beginning with IV 2025, taking place June 22–25, 2025, in Cluj-Napoca, Romania!

As many in our community know, RoboRacer brings together researchers, engineers, students, and autonomous systems enthusiasts from around the world to develop and race their own 1:10 scale autonomous vehicles. These self-built race cars, powered by custom software, compete in high-speed, real-time challenges focused on collision avoidance and lap time optimization.

🏁 Competition Highlights

  • Qualification Round – Solo time trials to determine seeding

  • Knockout Round – Intense head-to-head autonomous races

  • Standardized Hardware – Level playing field; focus on algorithm innovation

  • Exciting Prizes – Monetary awards, trophies, and certificates

  • Team size: 3–4 members

  • Event capacity: Limited to 6–8 teams

  • Participation fee: Symbolic 10 EUR per team member
