Call for Workshop/Tutorial Proposals

The Workshop/Tutorial Day of the 2026 IEEE – Intelligent Vehicle Conference (IV 2026) will be held on Monday, June 22, 2026 and will be followed by the IV 2026 Conference from Tuesday June 23 to June 25 2026.

Both the Workshop/Tutorial Day and the IV Conference will be held at the Marriott Renaissance Center, Detroit, Michigan, https://www.marriott.com/en-us/hotels/dtwdt-detroit-marriott-at-the-renaissance-center.

The ITS-focused Workshop/Tutorial proposals are now sought on theoretical and/or practical aspects of intelligent vehicles. We particularly encourage presentations by experts from academia, industry, government, and research institutions.

Workshop/Tutorial proposals will be reviewed by the Conference Program Committee who reserves the right to refrain from approving a specific Workshop/Tutorial proposal submission.

Proposals on new topics and technical activities, not addressed by the Society’s current Technical Committees (https://ieee-itss.org/technical-activities/) are encouraged in particular.

If two or more Workshop/Tutorial proposals are aimed at addressing closely related topics, they may be asked to organize a joint Workshop/Tutorial session(s).

Workshop organizers are expected to:

  1. solicit submissions to their Workshop/Tutorial session(s);
  2. organize the Workshop/Tutorial presentation review process;
  3. compose a program for their Workshop/Tutorial session;
  4. chair their Workshop/Tutorial session(s);
  5. promote and boost an attendance at their Workshop/Tutorial since the day one of the acceptance of their Workshop/Tutorial proposal; and
  6. create the Workshop/Tutorial web page to promote the Workshop/Tutorial session content and presenters’ credentials; a link to that page will be also provided at the IV 2026’s Workshop Day Page.

Workshop and Tutorial presentations are not included in the IEEE IV 2026 Conference Proceedings. Presenters seeking publication through IEEE Xplore® may formally submit their content as a full-length conference paper via PaperPlaza by October 1, 2025, aligned with the main conference submission deadline.

The timely preparation of your workshop proposal is critical. If you decide to contact Workshop Co-chairs about your questions only 2-3 days before the submission deadline please be aware that you may not be then able to timely submit your proposal and thus may miss the opportunity to share your research results with the IV researchers and practitioners.  The IEEE-IV 2026 is conducted by volunteers and a sign of appreciation of each other’s time & work commitments would be much appreciated.

P.S. Workshop/Tutorial Day attendance will be included in the Conference full registration.
